Full Description
Finale is well know to climbers from all over the World. Climbers come to the Western Ligurian Riviera all year round to climb on the many crags that together make this area one of the richest and most important climbing sites in Europe. We are specialised in organising custom made climbing courses and trips.
In Finale we have one Via Ferrata that is called Via Ferrata degli Artisti. It is a 670 metre climb with stunning landscape and an exciting suspension bridge that leads to the summit of Bric Agnellino. From here, you can enjoy a 360° view of the Mediterranean sea and the Alps. 45 minute drive from Finale (included in the price).
In Finale ligure we have a cosy Guest House where you can spend several days while climbing in the area.

Via Ferrata degli Artisti |
The Via Ferrata degli Artisti is located in the Maremola valley in the municipality of Magliolo: it has a peculiar reddish rock and constitutes the East ridge of the Bric dell'Agnellino 1335mt. The route is between 675mt and 1309mt above sea level and is equipped with about 1500 metres of metal cable and iron rungs. All this makes it a fairly simple via ferrata from a technical point of view given the abundance of rungs that never tire the legs and arms - and the excellent maintenance. The difficulty is given by the length - after the spectacular suspension bridge it is still a long way to the summit and from the exposure of some sections that require not to be afraid of heights. It can be therefore considered a medium difficulty via ferrata. The beauty of the route, the geological and morphological importance of this ridge, and the fantastic panorama that slowly opens up during the climb are certainly worth the effort. Prerequisites
For the Via Ferrata, no previous experience is required. You should be a good hiker, not afraid of heights, capable of walking for 6 hours with 600 metres elevation, up and down.
- Technical equipment: harness, via ferrata set, helmet.
- Personal equipment: 20 litre backpack, 2 litre water bottle or camelback, provisions (energy bars, chocolate, dried fruit, sandwiches), sun glasses, gore-tex jacket, hiking pants, fleece jacket, sun screen factor 50, hiking boots or approach shoes
